February 10, 2006—

The day started with a jolt as I tried to answer my cell phone alarm clock! I repeated "Hello" several times before my roommate told me that he did not think the alarm was going to answer me.

This was the start of a long, but very good day. It started getting better quickly with a cup of coffee and then a call to the home place in South Carolina. During wisdom search the Lord began to work on my heart and made it very clear to me that if I really wanted to be effective for Him then I had to be willing to give up myself and give control of all to the Lord. I must be pure and holy to be a vessel fit for the Master's use.

Joy with her team in Large Group

Jaime and Esther leading their Small Group

From wisdom search, it was off to another amazing Italian restaurant for lunch, although I was not brave enough to try the Squid ink and Cuttle fish, I did not feel bad because 80% of our group ordered the same dish of pasta.

Once again at Grace Baptist roll call was a lengthy, but encouraging time as we all shared the things that we appreciated about our team members. The night went very well with the children responding very well to the lessons answering questions and being very enthusiastic about the crafts.

In the second small group, the gospel was presented in much the same way as Rowen would do later in the second large group. Although none of the children made a decision tonight, they were all very attentive. After a mercifully brief cool down we headed to the hotel for a short night sleep before starting the marathon event of tomorrow.
